Our client, a firm of Solicitors based in Tonbridge, is looking for a Part Time Receptionist to join their team. This will be 3 days a week (Mon, Tues & Wed). There will be an additional 2 days a week to cover in their Sevenoaks office for holidays and sickness (Thurs & Fri).

The successful Receptionist will be reporting to the HR Director, and will provide Admin support through general reception duties in order to offer clients the highest quality of service possible. Previous legal receptionist experience would be preferable.

You must have a good understanding of a Receptionist role in a professional office, and be familiar with the workings of a reception and switchboard.

You will also have a friendly personality, be well presented and attentive, organised and a good communicator.

Your main duties will be:

  • Answering and directing calls through a switchboard
  • Administrative tasks eg filing, accepting and delivering mail
  • Using the public address system to find members of staff and make announcements
  • Keeping the reception area tidy
  • Greeting visitors and signing them in
  • Assisting clients in reception and dealing with client queries
  • Setting up meeting facilities and keeping the meeting rooms tidy
  • Providing refreshments for clients and meetings
  • Making appointments using Outlook
  • Scanning confidential documents
  • Opening and closing the office/reception area and maintaining front door security
  • Performing other duties commensurate with position as may be reasonably required
  • The hours are 8.15am - 5.15pm, Monday to Wednesday, with 1 hour and 15 minutes for lunch.
